A YEAR OF HIGH WITCHCRAFT

Starting June 2026, I’m embarking on a year of High Witchcraft (aka High Magick or Ceremonial Magick), using Christopher Penczak’s The Temple of High Witchcraft book as a foundation of study.

I’ll be checking in monthly as I finish each of the 13 lessons listed in the book. If you would like to follow along on this project, please be sure to check out the introduction video below and bookmark this page or subscribe to my YouTube channel so you can receive notifications as each video goes live.

Please feel free to share your experiences in the comment section of each monthly recap video (this is optional and not required). You can start your own High Magick journey whenever you’re ready - this video series will remain up and visible as long as I have this YouTube channel.

Reading books 1-3 in the Temple series is not a requirement to jump into book 4; however, a foundational understanding of witchcraft IS beneficial to have before engaging with this material. This is not an intro book to witchcraft but does serve as an intro book to ceremonial (high) witchcraft.

Announcement of a year of high witchcraft

The video to the left outlines the details of my hybrid book club / high witchcraft project using The Temple of High Witchcraft (by Christopher Penczak) as an outline for the next 13+ months.

Guidelines & Tips:

  • To follow along, you’ll need a copy of The Temple of High Witchcraft - see section below for places where you can pick up a copy.

  • You’ll also want a pen/pencil and notebook, or a digital notes application to record your experiences.

  • A place to practice is also required; find a spot that is safe and secure, where you can perform your exercises and rituals undisturbed.

  • OPTIONAL: A companion CD for this book is available and an option for anyone that would like to have guided audio tracks to accompany them as they work through The Temple of High Witchcraft.

  • OPTIONAL: There are some exercises that require additional materials (e.g. posters, oil blends, holy water, planetary tinctures and fluid condensers). These are not required but if you would like to create one or more of these, feel free to read ahead and pick up any materials as the year progresses.

    First and foremost, I would love to recommend that you check out a copy of The Temple of High Witchcraft from your local library. Many libraries have e-book copies that can be borrowed as well as physical copies. If you’re interested in electronic copies, please check out the Libby App.

    If your local library does not have a copy of The Temple of High Witchcraft, speak to the staff at your local branch - many branches are more than happy to order a copy for you to check out.
